Changan is a long-established Chinese manufacturer, and the selection open for pre-order here is compact and entirely SUV. Every variant on the list is petrol, which keeps servicing familiar in markets where charging networks are still being built out. The UNI Z is among the models currently on offer.
Nothing in this range depends on charging infrastructure, so the cars travel well into markets that are not ready for electrified fleets. These are crossover bodies of the kind most dealers already retail, which makes them easy to slot in beside existing stock.
Engine and trim are settled in the configurator at the point the order is raised.
Units come straight from the production line in China rather than out of existing stock. Changan orders are booked as a batch, which means a minimum quantity has to be met before the allocation is confirmed.
