Hyundai Accent

Positioning

The Accent is Hyundai's entry-level sedan, engineered for value-conscious buyers seeking modern features without excess. It competes directly against other compact four-door options in emerging and established markets, offering a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine with 115 horsepower and 144 Nm of torque paired to an IVT automatic transmission. The model seats five and maintains practical exterior dimensions—4,535 mm in length, 1,765 mm width, 1,475 mm height—making it nimble in urban environments while retaining adequate interior space.

Available Trims

Beyond Autos ships the 1.5 SMART+ and 1.5 COMFORT+ trims. Both share the same engine and transmission; the primary differences lie in interior appointments and convenience features. The COMFORT+ adds a power sunroof and additional refinements for buyers seeking extra comfort.

What Buyers Appreciate

Fleet and individual importers favor the Accent for its fuel efficiency, straightforward maintenance, and proven 1.5L petrol engine. Modern conveniences—wireless charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, push-button start with smart key, LED daytime running lights—appeal to today's tech-conscious buyers. The rear-view camera and rear parking sensors simplify daily driving. Eight exterior colors and three interior themes offer modest personalization.

Known Considerations

Some buyers note that the naturally aspirated engine delivers modest acceleration; highway performance remains adequate rather than spirited. The IVT automatic is smooth but not conventional, which occasionally divides driver preference. Dual airbags, ABS, electronic stability control, hill descent assist, and rear parking sensors meet essential safety standards, though premium variants in competing segments may offer expanded safety packages.
