FOB & Incoterms explained
Beyond Autos sells brand-new vehicles FOB Jebel Ali. Here is exactly what that covers, and where your freight forwarder takes over — so there are no surprises on landed cost.
Beyond Autos covers (origin)
- The brand-new vehicle, held in Jebel Ali Free Zone
- Full export documentation and customs clearance for export
- Pre-export inspection and loading onto the vessel your forwarder books
You arrange (after FOB)
- A freight forwarder or shipping line of your choice
- Ocean freight (RoRo or container) and marine insurance
- Customs, duties, and onward delivery at your destination
FOB vs CIF / CFR
Under CIF or CFR the seller arranges and pays the ocean freight (and insurance, for CIF) to your port. Beyond Autos quotes FOB only, so you keep full control of the carrier, route, and cost by appointing your own forwarder — often cheaper and more transparent than a bundled price.
