Overview
The GAC M8 Premium Edition is a full-size people carrier built around its middle row. Two powered captain's seats with heating, ventilation, massage and leg rests sit behind sliding rear doors, in a 2+2+3 layout on a 3,070 mm wheelbase. That makes it a natural fit for executive transport, hotel and chauffeur fleets, and families who want limousine-style rear comfort without a limousine footprint.
Power comes from a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder producing 252 PS and 400 N·m, sent through an 8-speed automatic to the front wheels. Petrol power keeps refuelling simple in markets where charging infrastructure is thin. A large, heavy van with a turbo petrol engine will use more fuel than a hybrid rival, so high-mileage fleet operators should factor that in.
