Toyota Land Cruiser LC79 Warranty Coverage for Ghana Imports

Standard warranty

Toyota covers the Land Cruiser LC79 with a three-year manufacturer's warranty from the date of first registration, with no kilometre limit. This bumper-to-bumper coverage includes the engine, transmission, suspension, electrical systems, and all factory components. The diesel engine and fuel system carry the same three-year term as the rest of the vehicle—Toyota does not segment powertrain coverage separately on this model.

Validity in Ghana

Toyota operates a unified global warranty database. When you import your LC79 new from Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) to Ghana, the warranty remains valid at any authorised Toyota service centre in the country. You do not need in-country pre-registration or dealer validation; the factory warranty transfers with the vehicle. Present your export invoice, vehicle registration documents, and the warranty booklet (stamped at point of first service) to activate claims. Toyota Ghana's authorised dealers will cross-reference your VIN and purchase date in their system.

Claim process

Visit any authorised Toyota service centre in Ghana—principally in Accra and major regional hubs—with your vehicle, warranty booklet, and proof of ownership (export invoice and registration). The centre will diagnose the fault and raise a warranty claim against Toyota's regional support office. Typical turnaround for approved repairs is 5–10 working days, depending on parts availability and workload. If a part must be shipped from Dubai or the regional distribution hub, lead time extends accordingly. Keep all service records; they are essential for validating subsequent claims.

What voids the warranty

Non-authorised repairs or modifications void coverage for affected components. Missed scheduled service intervals at authorised centres—typically every 10,000 km or annually—will disqualify claims related to poor maintenance. Damage from accidents, off-road abuse beyond normal use, or neglect is not covered. If a repair was undertaken outside the warranty period or by a non-authorised technician, that repair and any knock-on damage fall outside Toyota's obligation.
